Shadows of Paris plot
Fernand, a member of the Paris underworld, is summoned to fight in the war. When his death is reported, his sweetheart, Claire, decides to leave her dark life behind. She marries Raoul Gramont, the prefect of the police. She becomes a wealthy lady in post-war Paris. But she misses her old life and the memories continue to haunt her mind. One day she sees Fernand again, apparently he is still alive.
