Second Serve plot

The true story of Richard Raskind: Yale graduate, naval officer, brilliant surgeon and tennis champion. He kept perfectly hidden for years that he actually felt like a woman in a man's body. In 1975 he finally made the decision to have the surgery to change sex. He calls himself Renee Richards from that moment on. However, when she wants to play tennis professionally as a female tennis player, the US Tennis Association gets in the way. A new battle begins...
