Scandal plot

"The absorbing drama of a society girl whose dead past makes her a haunted woman."

When her family faces financial setbacks, wealthy Laura Hunt takes a job as a stenographer in a trendy hotel. There she meets her former lover Maurice. Although she still cares about Maurice, Laura marries the wealthy Burke Innes. When her husband is absent, Maurice calls Laura in the evening and suggests that she renew their affair. While Maurice is with Laura, meanwhile his wife is murdered. However, the gallant Maurice refuses to tell the police where he was at the time of the crime.
