Sankofa plot

During a photo shoot in Africa, a selfish African-American fashion model is spiritually transported to a plantation in the West Indies, where she experiences the physical and psychological horrors of slavery. Eventually, she also learns the redeeming powers of community life and becomes part of a freedom-seeking Maroon colony.
