Saigon Love Story plot

Danh grew up in Saigon in the 1980s. He and his mother sell noodles. One day he runs into the beautiful street vendor Tam, who sings a song for him. Dan is impressed. He sees in this voice that has been suppressed for so long the possibility of leaving the poverty of both of them behind.
