Sad Zhelaniy plot

During the last summer, before World War II starts in the Soviet Union, three sisters stay with their grandmother, where they celebrate Asya's birthday. Asya also expects her parents to visit that day, but they don't. She does not yet know that her father has fallen from grace and that a war is coming.
