Stoic thirteen-year-old Sasha grew up loveless in youth boarding schools. His mother is dead and his father is in an unknown prison. He makes a sport of escaping the orphanage, despite being severely punished every time he is caught again. During one of his many escapes, Sasha discovers that his father is trapped thousands of miles away. Sasha decides to visit him, which leads to a mythical journey.
