Ruten no Ôhi plot
Pu Zhe is the younger brother of Pu Wen, the emperor of Manchuria. Pu Zhe marries Ryuko, the daughter of a noble Japanese family. He does this for political reasons to reinforce the relationship between the Japanese rulers and his brother the Japanese puppet. To everyone's surprise, however, it turns out that the couple actually love each other. This creates major problems when Japan loses the war and the state of Mantsuria is dissolved.
