Roses Are for the Rich plot
In a small Appalachian village, Autumn's husband is killed in an explosion under suspicious circumstances. She vows revenge on the owner of the mine where it happened, the wealthy Douglas Osborne. When attempts to bankrupt him fail, she approaches him personally. She says she is carrying a child by him and wants to force him to marry her.
