Rosamunde Pilcher - Möwen im Wind plot

Just before Jane (Doris Schretzmayer) wants to tell her husband David (Florian Fitz) that she is pregnant, he is called away to his father, who is dying. The old man dies and leaves his son nothing but a lot of debt. David is forced to sell his parents' house and also sees his dream of his own doctor's practice go up in smoke. Deeply disappointed, he leaves his wife, who is not aware of any harm.
