When Japan makes a political pact with Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy during World War II, Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto is given the task of commanding the Japanese fleet. Yamamoto firmly believes that the American fleet at Pearl Harbor must be destroyed if Japan is to emerge victorious from the war.
