Rapt plot

Between two tribes, the Valaisans and the Bernois, separated by a mountain, there has been a conflict for centuries. Firmin, whose dog has been killed by a man from the other side of the mountain, confronts Hans, one of the enemies. Firmin, however, falls in love with Elsi, his opponent's betrothed.
