Rappin' plot
John Hood is the rapping ex-con who is determined to stay on the straight and narrow. After his release from prison, he learns that his girlfriend Dixie has run off with Duane, a member of a rival gang who warns John to stay away from him. John doesn't care about the threats and even confronts slum landlord Thorndike, who plans to have the entire neighborhood knocked down. Thorndike hires Duane's gang to chase the residents out of their homes, prompting John to form his own group.
