Ranchero plot

After the death of his parents, Jesse (Roger Gutierrez) leaves the ranch where he worked for 20 years and moves to Los Angeles. He lives next door to his childhood friend Tom (Brian Eric Johnson) in a cheap rental house. They struggle to define the boundaries of their friendship when Jesse faces the harsh reality of Tom's world, a world of drug addiction and long-forgotten dreams. There is a glimmer of hope in Jesse's life when he befriends his colleague Lil' Bit (Christina Woods) at the grocery store where he works. Lil' Bit lives her own troubled life alongside the hunter Capone (Danny Trejo). When his relationship with Lil' Bit intensifies, he decides to confront Capone about it: it's his only chance at freedom for himself and Lil' Bit.
