Raise Your Hand plot

Gia and her best friend Lila struggle to survive a difficult childhood in a neighborhood where every kid has a sad story to tell. As teenagers, their problems become more complicated and the stakes higher. Lila earns extra money by selling her body, but the friends maintain their dreams of a better future. When a teacher gets her hands on Gia's diary, she is shocked by what she reads and connects with the young girl in an attempt to express her emotions through art.
