Prinz in Hölleland plot
The jester Firlefanz lures the junkies of Kottbusser Tor, a hangout for addicts in Berlin, to his puppet theatre. The performance tells the story of a prince who falls in love with a miller's servant. Banned by the king, the two men flee to the forest of the magical kingdom of Hölleband. But their happiness comes to an unexpected end when the powder of an evil wizard gives the prince more and more sweet dreams. At the same time as the puppet show, the story of Jockel and Stefan unfolds: their friendship is destroyed by Jockel's use of heroin. With the Kreuzberger junkie scene and shrill bars as a background, Jockel and Stefan are succumbed to sex, drugs and jealousy.
