Pour l'Amour de Dieu plot
Seventeen-year-old Kevin, the child of second-generation Algerian immigrants, struggles with life's questions that he finally sees answered when, inspired by his devout classmate Meriem, he begins to delve into Islam. He changes his name to Mohammed and becomes more and more steadfast and fanatical in his faith: past 'haram' delicacies are thrown overboard and he takes Ramadan very seriously for the first time. Much to the despair of his modern, liberal parents, who want the boy to integrate better into the country they now live in. But Kevin increasingly associates with a group of young extremists who want to lead him astray.
