Johnny is obsessed with the 'pool world' and can become one of the best. However, he is stopped by his mentor and trainer Joe, a shady character. Finally, Johnny decides to break up with Joe and sends some friends over so that Joe will leave him alone from now on. He gets a decent job in construction and sees his brother there more and more going to the wrong people. Joe now has a new protégé and also meets Johnny's brother...

Nice, atmospheric pool film. Sometimes a little too adolescent, it doesn't quite fit the atmosphere. Pool matches are shown in a very flashy way, making them impossible to follow, but that's not a problem.
