Ode to the life and work of the Russian poet Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996), who was convicted by the Soviet Union for 'social parasitism' and fled to the United States in 1972. The partly fictional, partly biographical film is a dazzling collage of animation, photo collage, archive recordings and feature film fragments in which the Nobel Prize winner returns to his beloved motherland.
