Pobojowisko plot

In post-war Poland in 1945, a commander tries to oversee the construction of the Baltic port of Pobojowisko. Poles, from the east, are coming to this area to clear mines, while Germans are trying to get to the west. During a form of typhoid fever, he meets a nurse who will take care of him. He slowly develops feelings for her.
