Planeta Krawiec plot
In the 1950s, the tailor Józef Romanek has a seizure while drinking with his friends and they take him to the emergency room at the hospital. It turns out that his kidneys are damaged. While in a coma, he has communicated, as it were, with the distant stars. He quits his profession and takes an interest in astronomy. Together with his friends, he builds an observatory in the village. He is recognized and even the authorities appreciate him. But then comes the disillusionment: his wife can no longer tolerate his obsessions and abandons him. The city council also asks him to stop his work when the first Sputnik is launched into space. Then he is invited to an astronomical conference. He becomes the sensation of the conference, not as an amateur astronomer, however, but by guessing the sizes of the delegates' clothing. When he returns home, he realizes his dream is over, but he can't resist staring at the sky.
