Plague plot
"Inspired by the story "Through the Plague" by Yordan Yovkov, the film takes us to the beginning of the 19th century, when the plague roamed the Bulgarian lands."
Early 19th century. A wealthy man, Chorbadhzi Yordan, and his son return from a pilgrimage. They discover that the plague is ravaging the Bulgarian countryside. The villagers are frightened and starving. The Black Death brings out their deepest fears and evokes atavistic survival instincts.
