Pickpocket Molly Moore wants to stay on the straight and narrow. She opens a restaurant to pay for her sister Marion's studies. Molly's sweetheart Jerry Sullivan also wants to live an honest life, but his old friend Spike Davis is not convinced of their virtue. One day, Marion is attacked by Spike. In an attempt to protect her, Molly sends her sister to the friendly Pemberton family. When Marion wants to get engaged to Ted Pemberton, Spike threatens to expose Molly's questionable past.
