Pit Pony plot

Willie's father is a miner, just as his father had been. Willie and his brother are expected to be nothing more than that. But Willie is different and abhors the idea of having to go into the mine. However, he goes to work for the Ocean Deeps Mining Company where he and his pony eventually have to win the respect of the other miners.
