Pikovaya Dama plot
Film adaptation of Tchaikovsky's opera of the same name and the novella by Alexander Pushkin. The officer Hermann is in love with Lisa, a companion who lives with her grandmother, an old countess. The old countess is said to know the secret of the "three cards", with which you will always win with cards. Herman invents a way to find out that secret.
