Perestroika plot

When he left his Cold War-suppressed Soviet Union for the USA, the brilliant astrophysicist Sasha Greenberg was humiliated and ostracized by his friends and colleagues in the scientific community led by the esteemed Professor Gross. Greenberg's bad experiences make him reluctantly return to now capitalist Russia, where he is received as a hero. There he discovers that his life, his reputation and his faith in science have changed unexpectedly, something that has not really happened to his own country.
