Peafowl plot

Myung is a transgender woman who has severed all ties with her family and village because of who she is. Now all she needs is an operation, but the only way to earn money for that is a dance competition that doesn't end well. Then she receives a call that her father has died, and Myung hears that her father has stated in his will that she will receive the inheritance if she performs the Drum Dance - traditionally performed by men - during the memorial ritual.
