The Iranian student Emad and the French Caroline have recently moved to a borrowed flat in Besançon, where Caroline works as a guide in the Victor Hugo Museum. Both know that they actually have no future together, because Emad eventually wants to return to Iran. Then Caroline turns out to be pregnant.
