Nirbachana plot
The village of Mankonal in the Indian state of Orissa is plagued by failed agricultural crops. Some of the inhabitants decide to work in the quarry, resulting in heavy dust clouds that pass over the crops. One day the news arrives that the landlord of the village is returning after ten years. The villagers can't make the payments this year, but the landlord is coming for something else. He participates in the local elections and tries to convince the villagers to vote for him. He promises 100 rupees for every vote given to him. The village chief then comes up with a plan to take care of a sick beggar in exchange for giving his voting money.
