The life of film star Sylvia Moran (Iris Berben) is strongly directed by her ambitious assistant Clarissa (Stefanie Stappenbeck), who meticulously organizes all performances and meetings. Nobody comes close to the diva, and yet someone secretly manages to make sound recordings that extort Sylvia. Privately, she is not doing so well either. She can't handle her daughter's illness very well.
