The yuppie couple Sophie (Naomi Krauss) and Kai (Heikko Deutschmann) have been married for fifteen years and have two children. In their late thirties they seem to have everything together. But then Kai gets into financial trouble. Unable to afford his family's expensive spending habits, he begins to take out violence. He starts beating his wife and there are serious cracks in the marital bliss.
