"The bloodiest fight in NHL history wasn't on the ice."
1956. It's a good year for the Ice Hockey Federation, costs are lower and revenues are still increasing. However, most players do not receive a raise and until they are 45 they cannot access their pension fund, which is managed by the board. When one of the players goes to talk to a baseball player's lawyer, he learns that the board has mafia practices and that an ice hockey player's union might be a solution to get their due.
