"Love is so short. Forgetting is long."
Nobody says it, but when Okju and her brother Dongju move in with their father at the end of the school year with the grandfather they barely know, it's not just because the old man needs care. After his divorce, their father is financially ruined and although grandfather's three-room house is certainly not equipped for it, the family finds temporary shelter. Not long after, their aunt, who herself is in a marital crisis, also moves in.
