Larry Blair is a singer and engaged to Lisbeth Calvert. He becomes interested in the singer Gail Burke. In her apartment, he goes blind when a rival throws an acid in his face. He leaves New York, leaving Lisbeth behind, to return to his grandmother's plantation in his hometown in Kentucky.
