Mutluluk plot
One day Meryem is found unconscious along a river, probably raped. Her family thinks their honor has been violated and according to tradition she should be killed. Meryem's cousin Cemal, who has just returned from his military service in the turbulent southeast of the country, becomes the best person to kill her. It seems smarter to him to do this in Istanbul and so he takes her niece on a 'outing' to the big city. Their paths will cross with Professor Irfan Kurudal who, tired of his superficial and unintelligent life, has decided to take a break.
