MS Slavic 7 plot
Between 1957 and 1964, the Polish poet Sofia Bohdanowiczowa wrote 25 letters to the Polish author Józef Wittlin. Both were in exile in North America. The correspondence is part of the holdings of Houghton Library at Harvard University. A woman has come there to look at the letters, crumpled paper and faded envelopes, trying to articulate how the work makes her feel.
