Six girls who have to undergo the traditional purification ritual of circumcision run away from home. Four of them find refuge with Collé Ardo Gallo Sy, a wife and mother with modern insights. Collé pronounces a moolaadé: a curse on anyone who wants to hit her protégés. With far-reaching consequences.
