Missing Children: A Mother's Story plot

Kate (Mare Winningham) has a hard life. She is unemployed and abandoned by her husband. The tormented mother has no money to take care of her children any longer. She therefore decides to seek help for her offspring at a center for child care. However, Kate is unaware that the so-called center works with a double agenda. As a result, the abused and dilapidated young mother loses her children to an adoption agency.
