It is the summer of 1945. A group of young people starts all over again. For them it is Year 1. For student Pavel, film is more interesting than Law. With his 8 mm camera, he films everything that catches his eye. One day that's a mysterious girl. It's Helen. Pavel hangs out with her and also meets her energetic older sister Olga. Pavel hears from her that the girls have spent the last few years in a German concentration camp and cannot forget the horrors there.
