"Friendship is every passing second; is living... is running"

Mengejar Matahari tells the story of four friends from a deprived area of Jakarta whose tires are put to the test on their way to adulthood. They share a nighttime ritual 'Chasing the Sun'. A ritual where they run through the deprived neighborhood which symbolizes the pursuit of their future. Their friendship is at stake when Ardi and Damar fall in love with Apin's niece.
