Mein Herz in Afrika plot

Zoologist Verena (Tanja Wedhorn) flies to South Africa to pick up two lions for her zoo in Germany. In South Africa she is received by George (Michael Mendl) and taken to the reception station. Along the way, however, they get into a serious car accident, forcing Verena to stay in South Africa longer than planned. Babysitter Ben (Robert Seeliger) doesn't want anything to do with her because he doesn't want to let the lions go. Agnes (Hannelore Elsner), head of the animal shelter, also receives her very coldly. This has to do with something from the past.
