Mein Großer Freund plot

Severely ill inmate Martin flees the prison hospital. On his way in the world, he meets another runaway, a little boy. Balou ended up in an orphanage after the death of his mother. He is now trying to find his Turkish father. That's why he desperately needs a 'great friend', but Martin should really take care of himself first. An encounter filled with flights and an unusual responsibility begins, as Martin grows closer to the boy. Will they find Balou's father together or will the prodigal son get a new family?
