Mauprat plot
A film adaptation of George Sand's novel of the same name. The story tells the life of a nobleman named Bernard Mauprat (Nino Constantini), who lived at the time of the French Revolution. Mauprat was raised by a bunch of abusive relatives after his mother passed away. He grows up to be a brutal tomboy. When his cousin Edmée (Sandra Milovanoff) is captured by Mauprat's family, he helps her escape on the condition that she marries him. This begins a long and turbulent love affair between Mauprat and Edmée.
