Matter of Trust plot
"Can trust overcome deadly lies?"
A detective investigating a series of murders is shot in cold blood at the scene of the latest crime. Detective Michael D'Angelo lets the killer escape and is suspended. Since his girlfriend, Theresa Marsh, abandoned Michael to marry the respected Peter Marsh, Michael's life has turned into chaos. Theresa is assigned to track a serial killer. She is immediately threatened with death. Undeterred, she continues the case, but then Peter disappears without a trace. An anonymous phone call tells her that Peter will be killed if she goes through with this case. Theresa sees no other option but to call for Michael's help.
