Massa'ot James Be'eretz Hakodesh plot

A young man, filled with ideals and faith, leaves his native village in Africa on a pilgrimage to the holy city. He hopes to find the necessary spiritual inspiration to return as a minister. However, the journey is not going to be what James hopes. Upon his arrival in Israel, he ends up in jail as an illegal immigrant. A rescuer who bails him out forces him and his fellow sufferers to pay their debts through forced labor.
