Maskarad plot
A young prince and army officer loses all his possessions in a deck of cards. Arbenin, a haughty gentleman, helps him and wins back the money for him. That same evening they go to a masquerade ball, where the young officer falls in love with a masked lady, she gives him a collar that he does not know that she has just found on the floor. The officer tells Arbenin and shows the bracelet. Later that night, Arbenin's wife comes home and to his horror she tells that she has lost a bracelet.
