Fernando is a wealthy but reclusive man. He needs nothing more than his beloved wife, Blanca. When she is diagnosed with a terminal illness and dies shortly afterward, Fernando is inconsolable. After years of mourning and self-destruction, he embarks on a journey to Europe, on the advice of those around him, hoping to find a new beginning. There, he is confronted with his past in a remarkable way.
