Mary Cassatt: An American Impressionist plot

Mary Cassatt is an American Impressionist living in Paris. There she has good contacts with other artists, including: Edgar Degas. Cassatt is an intelligent and charming but above all an independent artist. Her life is running smoothly, but that changes with the arrival of her brother. This brother brings a wife and three troublesome children. At first she is only bothered by the children, but she is soon inspired by them and uses them as a model. Her niece Katherine, who believes that marriage is necessary to gain a place in society, decides to couple Cassatt and Degas.
