Marthas Garten plot

Karl leads a secluded life. His apartment is immaculate, he likes to sit quietly in a bar for hours and he likes to sleep. One evening, under somewhat sinister circumstances, he meets Martha, a woman who has an enigmatic attraction to him. A fatal love story begins; even at the very end, Karl won't be able to say exactly what happened - or how it could have happened. He soon realizes that something eerie has come into his life with love. Gradually, even the most oppressed demons are unleashed in him. Even the pleasant evenings out with his old friend Uwe no longer offer him the relaxation of the past. Karl experiences his meeting with Martha as a convulsion, a fall from a great height.
