Maria plot

Romania is in the anarchic transition period towards a new market economy. Maria, mother of seven children, tries to survive. Her husband squanders the meager income at the bar. Abused and desperate, Maria sees no other solution than prostitution. While working in a parking lot, she tells her story to a television crew. This is not without consequences, she is offered a new chance of life.
